Adventure Guide Studies Class 2019 - 2020

A total of sixteen students from six different countries began this year's Adventure Guide class, the seventh time Keilir and Thompsons Rivers University offer the program in Iceland.

The Adventure Studies Program (Adventure Sport Certificate) in Iceland is on university level and takes only eight months, with half the time in practical training in locations all around Iceland.

The program is a 60 credit intensive education building on local and international expertise within the field and using the unique and accessible natural environment in Iceland as a practical class room. The program is a solid foundation for all major parts of adventure tourism and benefits especially those that are interested in an introduction to adventure sports, improving current adventure sport skills or exploring the adventure industry as a future career.

The education has received both domestic and international recognition the last few years with a total of 85 students completing the program in Iceland, including students from close to twenty different nationalities. Next courses begin in August 2020.
