Keilir Academy in Iceland participates in a two year Erasmus+ project to train VET teachers and trainers in the use of the most innovative teaching strategies and to implement in VET schools and Centers the Flipped Learning Methodology.

Keilir now offers Preliminary University Studies (Háskólabrú) in English. The program offers individuals - who haven't finished college or secondary school education - access to university programs in Iceland.

The Phantom F4 was originally a part of the 57th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron known as "The Black Knights of Keflavik" and is now placed on the main intercepting crossroads at Ásbrú. It is maintained by aircraft engineering students at Keilir Aviation Academy.

Keilir Aviation Academy graduated at total of 23 candidates - 18 professional pilots and five aircraft engineers - on 9 June at Andrews Theater in Keflavik Iceland. A total of 47 professional pilots have thus graduated from Keilir this year.
