Keilir Academy in Iceland - along with partner schools in Estonia, Finland and Denmark - organise an international conference on the role and responsibilities of administration and teachers in implementing flipped learning in schools & Workshop for implementing flipped learning in teaching.

The Project NEXT - From Best to Next Practices in Flipped Learning is funded by Nordplus Junior. The focus will be to create an active expert network of teachers in the partner countries practicing flipped learning in and as a part of their educational contexts, specifically by highlighting best practice initiatives.

Jón Gauti Jónsson is a winter camping instructor at the Keilir - TRU Adventure Studies Program in Iceland. He has over 30 years of experience recreating and working in the Icelandic nature and has worked as a mountain guide since 1996.

Keilir Aviation Academy graduated 29 professional pilots and 19 aircraft engineers on 13 January at Andrews Theater in Keflavik Iceland.

A new book by Dr. Hilmar Þór Hilmarsson Professor at the School of Business and Science University of Akureyri and former Advisor to Keilir Academy was published in New York in the Fall 2016. The book is entitled: International Financial Institutions, Climate Change and the Urgency to Facilitate Clean Energy Investment in Developing and Emerging Market Economies.

From 1st of September, Keilir Housing Department will be open from 10am to 2pm, Monday through Friday.

Keilir Aviation Academy graduated 22 aviation mechanics on 15 January at Andrews Theater in Keflavik Iceland.

Professor Robert Dell from Cooper Union in New York and visiting scientist at Keilir will give a presentation about a controllable geothermal micro climate at Keilir on 10 November.

Keilir has been involved in the process of getting Reykjanes Geopark accepted into the European Geoparks Network, focusing on education and training in the region.

Graduation Ceremony for ATPL students at Keilir Aviation Academy will be held at Andrews Theater at Asbru Friday 5 June at 3pm.
