Visit to Green River College in Washington State

March 4 and 5, 2013, GRCC hosted the first visit to the campus by educationists from Iceland. Representatives from Keilir met with senior administrators, including President Eileen Ely, and faculty discussing areas for future cooperation. 

Green River Community College (GRCC) is a community college located in Auburn, Washington, USA. It has a student body of approximately 10,000. The school offers more than 40 professional and technical programs, including Aviation Technology, where students are trained for a variety of careers including Air Traffic Controller and Professional Pilot.

Top transfer programs include business, engineering and IT. GRCC offers a wide variety of other majors in sciences, humanities and social sciences. Green River is known for its strong international program. As of fall 2012, GRCC hosted over 1,500 international students from 51 countries, ranking it among the top 10 community colleges in the US in international enrollment. 

Keilir Aviation Academy and GRCC have expressed mutual interest in cooperation regarding professional pilot training, as well as possible future cooperation regarding Keilir's Bachelor degree in Engineering Technology.
