Keilir graduates 43 professional pilot students

Keilir Aviation Academy graduated 43 students from ATPL and Integrated Professional Pilot Programs on 14 June at Andrews Theater in Reykjanesbær, Iceland. After the ceremony 71 pilot students have graduated from Keilir in 2019 and a total of 289 from the first graduation ceremony a decade ago.
 
Runar Arnason, Accounting Manager of KAA presented graduates with their certificates. Hekla Kolbrún Sæmundsdóttir received acknowledgement for best overall achievement with a grade average of 9,54 (out of 10). She received a book from Icelandair. Hrannar Páll Kristbjargarson gave commencement speech on behalf of the class of professional pilot students.
 
This was the first graduation after Keilir Aviation Academy acquired the Icelandic Flight Academy yearlier this year. After the purchase, combined schools will operate over two dozen training aircraft and sophisticated flight simulators in Iceland’s major airports, with a collective student body totalling close to five hundred pilot students.
 
Next Professional Pilot Program classes start in September.
