Tuition

Iceland Aviation Academy offers a wide variety of pilot programs at a competitive price while maintaining the upmost quality of education. Iceland has a long aviation history which serves an important role in the country’s infrastructure. This has created a hospitable environment for airlines and flight schools alike resulting in lower government fees for aviation education institutions than elsewhere. That coupled with no landing fees and fuel-efficient aircraft means we can offer our students very competitive prices.

General Information

  • Tuition fees must be paid in advance according to the student agreement. Deposits form a balance which is accessible to students at the finance department during their studies.
  • Payments for longer study programs are generally distributed so that sufficient funds are available for training at any given time.
  • Payments can be exchanged or distributed for a service fee.
  • Charges for actual flight time are deducted from the balance post flight.
  • Fees for theoretical courses are deducted from the balance two weeks before they begin.
  • Payment slips are sent by e-mail to students and therefore do not appear in online banking. Information about payment methods is received in the same e-mail.
  • A 1.7% surcharge applies for payments with credit cards other than payments with American Express, while a 2.9% surcharge applies for them.
