Keilir Aviation Academy partner wins prestigious award

Air Service Training in Scotland, which operate the Keilir Aircraft Engineering Program in Iceland, recently won the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise, International Trade 2015.

The letter recently received from the Queens Award Office states: 

"I am delighted to inform you that Her Majesty the Queen has been graciously pleased to approve the Prime Minister?s recommendation that your business should receive a Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade this year." 
This is the highest and most prestigious business award that can be conferred upon a UK company, and recognises the outstanding qualities of the entire company. The award recognises our efforts to succeed in challenging times, in particular our overseas delivery and second-site strategy.
Air Service Training is located in Perth Scotland and has - in cooperation with Keilir Aviation Academy - set up a local field office at Keilir in Iceland, offering  courses for certified Aircraft Engineering. AST is approved by the UKCAA (United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority) and a recognized ´IR Part 147´ training partner in issuing Aviation certificates according to quality standards of EASA. AST is a part of Perth College and University of Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Perth, Scotland and has operated as an Aviation College Since 1931 in the British Isles and elsewhere.
