Iceland Aviation Academy puts emphasis on providing students with a good and innovative teaching environment. The school has theoretical study facilities in Keflavík and students can choose to take flight lessons from Keflavík Airport (KEF) or Reykjavík Airport (RKV).
Offices
The offices of Iceland Aviation Academy are located in Keilir's main building at Grænásbraut 910 at Ásbrú in Reykjanesbær
and in the school's practical facilities at Reykjavík Airport.
Ground Training Facilities
Ground Training takes place in Keilir's main building at Grænásbraut 910 were all classrooms are, research facilities, support services and the school's offices. There are also reading rooms, group study rooms and cafeteria. Events and happenings are also regularly on the agenda. The building is open to students from morning to evening.
Flight Training Facilities at KEF airport
Flight instruction takes place at the Eastern part of Keflavík Airport. Access is through the so-called Silver Gate. There, all students go through a security check and need to keep the following in mind:
- Have an access passport to the airport - or ID (driver's license, identity card or passport)
- Have a driving permit on your car - or get a ride from an employee of the Iceland Aviation Academy
- Do not carry luggage in your car - this will delay the search
- The flight service is open every working day at 08:00 - 16:00. Flight instructors will let you in before / after that time.

Our Ground Training Facilities have everything you need for flight planning and preparation for training. The following items are standard equipment in our school:

- Classroom for pre- and post-flight discussion

Flight Training Facilities at RKV airport
Practical training takes place at Reykjavík Airport, where all facilities are as good as possible for both teachers and students. The facility is on the east side of Reykjavík Airport. The school's office is located on the second floor here.
The hangars and planes are within the security area and students must pass a security test at Isavia and obtain an access pass to the airport itself. The flight service is open from 08:00 - 16:00.
