Bob Takano kennir áfanga um lyftingar fyrir íþróttafólk í styrktarþjálfaranámi ÍAK.

Bob er einn mest áberandi lyftingaþjálfari Bandaríkjanna um þessar mundir. Ferill hans sem þjálfari spannar meira en fjóra áratugi og hefur árangur hans veitt honum viðurkenningu inn í “Hall of Fame” lyftingarþjálfara í Bandaríkjunum. Viðurkenninguna fékk hann afhenda af sjálfum Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Bob er menntaður líffræðingur og kennari en hann starfaði sem slíkur samhliða þjálfaraferlinum og án efa hefur reynsla og menntun Bob’s sem kennari, nýst honum vel við að koma þekkingu sinni á sportinu til skila til íþróttamanna hans.

Á síðasta ári gaf Bob út bókina "Weightlifting Programming: A Winning Coach's Guide" sem er einn ítarlegasti texti er gefinn hefur verið út á enskri tungu um uppbyggingu æfingarkerfa fyrir lyftingar. Bob heldur úti heimasíðunni Takano Athletics sem er brunnur mikils fróðleiks fyrir lyftingafólk, bæði byrjendur sem lengra komna.
