Professional Development Courses

Qualified fitness professionals need to stay current with the fast moving industry and ensure that they develop the habit of lifelong learning. Many countries around the world already require that qualified, practicing fitness professionals need to demonstrate regular learning and development as part of their commitment to their career.

Europe Active announced in Nov. 2017 the beginning of a European lifelong learning initiative that requires fitness professionals to obtain a minimum of 10 hours of further education per year.

Keilir Health Academy and our online division, Nordic Fitness Education, are committed to the lifelong learning initiative and plan to offer a range of short professional development courses to improve and advance a range of fitness skills and to help progress your career and client prospects.

Potential courses for future development may include a range of topics/skills, such as:

  • Kettlebell training
  • Suspended fitness training
  • Advanced core training
  • Advanced dumbbell training
  • Nutrition for weight management
  • Client coaching and behavioural change

If you would like to register your interest in any of the above topics for future short courses, or have any suggestions for the team, please contact Ben Pratt, Programme Coordinator, who will be sure you are kept up to date with their progress and release dates.
