Eighteen students graduate as Adventure Guides in Iceland

A total of eighteen candidates from the Keilir and Thompson Rivers University adventure studies program graduated on 9 June at Andrews Theater in Reykjanesbær, Iceland. This is the fourth commencement class in the program since the first graduation in 2014. Sharman Learie, Coordinator of TRU Adventure Studies, delivered a greeting from the university and Erik Stevensson was awarded with best overall achievement with 8,95 grade average (out of 10) and received a gift GG sjósport in Iceland.
 
The Adventure Studies Program (Adventure Sport Certificate) in Iceland is on university level and takes only eight months, with half the time in practical training in locations all around Iceland. The education has received both domestic and international recognition the last few years and have a total of 63 students completed the program in Iceland. This year international students arrived from Canada, Norway and Spain among other countries, and next year the class will include students from countries such  as Chile and Greenland.
