The Phantom F4 was originally a part of the 57th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron known as "The Black Knights of Keflavik" and is now placed on the main intercepting crossroads at Ásbrú. It is maintained by aircraft engineering students at Keilir Aviation Academy.
